AUGH! Not enough clones of me to go around!
March is going to be a ridiculously busy month.
Obviously the big one, SXSW, AND I have company coming in for it. That'll take up a little more than a week.
Then things get complicated.
OK, so at the Alamo Drafthouse there's a screening of King Kong-the original 1933 Kong. A fucking ARCHIVAL print. Oh, and Ray Harryhausen will be there to speak and do a meet-n-greet. OHMYGOD. Same day, though, my dear friend Austin is playing in Houston (he and his band FINALLY get to hit the road to promote their album on their shiny new record contract!). AUGH! S'ok, though, right? I mean, he'll be playing here in Austin TX the next night. OHWAIT, that same night a few hours north of here King's X will be kicking off their tour. AUUGH! Two friends, two shows, ONE me. But wait.....Austin and his band are also playing in Bumfuck Louisiana where I used to live, and they're playing the week BEFORE SXSW....and on my days off, too.....so I could drive to LA, see them for two or three nights travelling around Louisiana (and visiting some friends from Bumfuck and from New Orleans), come back to Austin for SXSW, see Kong, then reasonably miss my friend here in town to go see King's X. But goddamn. That's a LOT of travel, and Austin is a great city for live music....and I know my friends' band is going to rock socks and scorch balls.

Update:ohshit. Um. SXSW may have just gotten MUCH more interesting since I forgot the registration deadline.
