Gig went OK. The band before us were really well recieved because.. well.. they're hippies and it was a folk festival. That, and they played this annoying folk version medely of known cover songs last, and played an extra half hour. Making me really anxious that it was going to rain on all of our gear waiting side stage.

I used the house kit with my cymbals, and nothing was where I needed it to be! I just didn't want to be a pain and shift all of their stuff. I made so many minute mistakes because I'd go to hit a crash that wasn't there, or do a roll on toms that were in different places.

And to make things worse.. most of the crowd at this stage were there to see the band before us, I guess they're some sort of famous among the hippies. They all go off to the main stage and leave us with our few family and friends, and a couple of stayers, along with 2 assholes we won over side stage with our promise of rock and or roll. And they proceeded to shout "take your shirt off honey" at Nai. Dicks. I was going to take mine off though.. It gets hot under stage lights.

My mum thinks I should sing certain songs because I sing them better than Nai.

Sarah said "that was the best drumming ever", while I think I played probably as bad as I've ever played (kit problems prevoiusly listed above). But not terribly.

Funny moment: Brett isn't familiar with one song, and so he was trying to play quieter. Then he turns around and there's some dude micing up his amp.

And the power went out half way through the set. This prompted calls of "drum solo". I played about 2 bars to appease.

We need to find our niche.
