WOW!, ... what a strange past 2-3 months it has been...
First, my internet was shut off...had to resort to using the library...
Second, ... I had a weird fluke with "HAL" (my computer's name, .... I know, maybe a bad choice), It turned out to be a bad power supply... instead of a fried motherboard, or bad hard drive...
Third, ... I got the power supply fixed, and two days later, my monitor died...
Fourth, went to Savers, and found a monitor for $8, no internet, but was working on a few files and such, decided to install a larger memory card, ... it didn't fit and fried my Motherboard!...
so, ... today, I found a new desktop for $150, and the kid installed all of my components into it, for only $30 more and gave me a ride home! Oh!, ... I solved my internet by getting Cricket Broadband, ... 3G network, and no contract, and cheaper than Cable or Phone, .... just not quite as fast, but reliable, and if I ever get a laptop, it will work on it as well! So, as I type, ... I am waiting for numerous updates to be downloaded...
Other than that, .... things really haven't changed. I might have a chance of a F/T position at the Cris Angel show, ... which would be nice to have something steady. I was hoping for a shot at the Lion King, as a Wardrobe Dresser, but I am not on the "A-List", (meaning not enough hours in the system to qualify), but if my Local here would "recognize" my hours from SLC, they would see that I am more than qualified!
I would really like to have a position in a theater, instead of relying on Corporate Convention work.
meanwhile, I am currently thinking of talking to Nv. Vocational Rehab Division, about getting schooling as a CDL, ... if anything, I could be a Driver for all these shows that I work for.
