SO...
Yes we did make it to LA, for DJ's Birthday. We went to Magic Mountain, and re-newed our Season Passports. Had a blast riding X several times, it was down most of last year. I love it, with my passport, I get 4 free Flash Passes each time we go!
For DJ's B'Day, we tried to catch the ferry to Catalina Island, but the ferry had a blown motor... so we went and hung out at Venice Beach! We bought some art, that was painted on scraps of plywood, and hung out with the artist, and his friend, on their patio, on the beach sidewalk. We watched the sun disappear into the water, which I have never seen, and there was a drum circle on the beach as it happened. On our way back to Hollywood, we have a favorite motel there, we found a place called "Roscoe's, Home of Fried Chicken and Waffles", ... strange combination, but very yummy, ... or was that the weed we smoked? LOL!
We did find some rings, they are stainless steel bands. We found them here though.
We have been projecting around the house. The patio is almost complete, with misters on the ceiling, lights that look like grape clusters. Next is some furniture, which we are buying today. Grilling and Poker nights coming soon!
DJ has been doing well with our finances, ... we got rid of 4 of our credit cards! WOOT!
DJ also got injured, .... no not at work, but at home. We were drunk last week, and she stepped on Dude's tail, he spun around and bit her on the top of her foot. She is taking antibiotics, and the Doctor gave her a script for 30 Vicodins!
Work has been fun lately, ... we did the Stage for SHOWEST. That was the Premier for the movies coming out this year. While DJ and I were moving our condor boomlift across stage, Queen Latifa was below us rehearsing, her number for "Hairspray". All of the cast was there, including John Travolta, Michelle Pfieffer, and Christopher Walken. We weren't allowed to take pics...
There are some great flicks coming out, ... "3:10 to Yuma" looks great! "Saw IV" looks like a good thriller, even though I haven't seen any of them, coming out on Halloween.
I really need to figure out how to put my camera phone pics up, ... then you could see the fun stuff I've just told you about. Anyhoo,... Have fun!
