let's see...
Yesterday, Delane ( DJ ), .... had her tonsils *sp, ripped out. She's 37, and has been having problems with them for about 10 years. Her job at the Trop, is on a two week Christmas vacation, so she chose this time. Other than eating ice cream, popsicles, mac and cheese, liquids, she is doing fine. She has a prescription of liquid Loritab ( with a re-fill!
), and is spraying her throat with Chloraseptic. She's taken to watching a lot of movies, and is doing well.
I passed my rigging class (surprised?! ... shouldn't be), I scored 92.5% on my written test, and I didn't have to do my practical, as the instructors were asking me to help the other students! It's kinda funny, on the last day of class, before the test, I recieved a "letter" from one our employers, for work next week. Everyone in my class were jealous, ... I just replied, "i may be new to you, but I am not "green", the instructors laughed!
So now I have to nurse DJ back to health, and get ready for a (rumored) 3 months of steady, "I wish I could have a day off", stretch of work, starting on Tuesday...
... holidays....
My family is up in Idaho, about 11 hours north on I-15, ... it's not that big of a deal, but time consuming. It is also my last living Grandmother's 80th B-Day on the 27th. So I have a lot of pressure to be there. Things are tight, especially money wise, and with work starting, I can't make myself go. DJ's Health Trust money has been going into the wrong fund, and we had to shell out $500 just to cover her premiums, as the monies won't reflect until next quarter, after the mix-up. So I don't even have funds to "give gifts"... another pressure, showing up "emptyhanded"...
so how are things out there?
