Things we have been thinking about...
1. Tired of living in the ghetto... sure it has it's highlights, as far as "things happening" all the time, but it really isn't where we ant to be...
2. We miss having a front door that opens to the outside world, not into a hallway.
3. We miss having our own washer and dryer... quarters aren't easy to get in the ghetto, the silver round, and printed by the Gvmt. kind, not white and in little baggies... or waiting your turn for the W/D, amongst 20 other units per floor...
4. I miss my van, ... it's being stored at one of DJ's co-workers' home. We are paying her $50 a month to store our van, next to her house, behind a gate, but it is about 8-10 miles away, so i cannot see/work on it...
5. The Grill, ... we used to grill everyday, ... at the apartments we live at now, we have a balcony, and a patio. By order of the Fire Marshall and the Mngt. of these Apts, ... we cannot have a grill on the patio, due to "space/enclosure problems"... meat should be cooked on an open flame!
6. Disgruntled at having drawers that actually open and slide on a track, instead of rubbing against bare wood over ten years old, and do not align...
7. The "Gated Community" situation... We moved in, from a website, from Utard, on a whim... though it's one of the better Communities in the neighborhood, ... it sucks! The doors to the buildings have had the doorknobs broken, so no key is neccessary to get in. The "people gates" are always jammed or blocked from closing. There are two entrance gates, yet only one is operational/not locked up with a chain, ... and this is a fun situation... the one that is the "front gate", ... after 8pm nightly, the gate is closed, to open the gate from the outside, you as a driver, have to pull up to the left side, "european driving", to swipe your card. The gate opens from your now, ... right, two cars wide, ... now aproach the street oncoming! We have been in so many near accidents, because of.
8. The second bedroom, has become a storage room. There is not enough storage space for us, we use to live in a 4-plex, with sorage at our carport. Now it's taking up the Studio space.
9. Living downhill... We have noticed that living East of the Strip, has it's downfalls ( no pun intended ) ... We live downstream of the sewer systems...sometimes, we feel like the Oblongs
... only we smell it too! It seems that all the sewer work being done, is East of the Strip.
10. Police ..... i have no problem with having the police in force, in my neighborhood, but I still don't like the view of a cop, in my rear view mirror... It has been different, since we got our plates changed to NV, but the activity, is still a bit high for us...
so guess what?!
We are moving!, to the west side, .. insert the "Jefferson's" theme song, yet change east/west
...It turns out, one of DJ's Principle Dancers, she dresses, also owns three other properties, than she lives in. It is a gorgeous Townhome, near Jones and Hacienda! Want to see it?! ...home...
it's the two-story on the left...
just minus the furnishing shown, as it was the homeowners', ... and it's ours!, We get the keys on Saturday, and we have amonth to move in!
