wow!, ... today was a really long day.
Delane and i were dispatched to work at the Mirage, for Cirque Du Soliel's new show, "Love". It started at 6AM!, and we were there until 5:30 pm. We suited up in harnesses, and with 6 others, we opened up up sections of the grid, about 4 foot squares, and had shop vacs, we were cleaning the beams of construction debris. Now mind you, the grid is 75' up from the stage floor!, so one slip through the openings we created, you could fall that distance, if you weren't "clipped in". The theater is amazing!, it's in the round, with stadium seating, the floor has sectional elevator platforms, and tons of winch systems from the grid. No cameras, or cell phones were allowed, we even had to go through security wanding, upon entering, and exiting! Worse than an airport! It looks like we will be doing this every Monday, until it's done...
