As opposed to yesterday's "I'm in an okay mood", today I am unequivocably in a good mood.

Time to go all fortune-cookie on you: There's a difference between wanting to be happy and not wanting to be unhappy. I'm sure it doesn't hold up to scrutiny, but it makes sense to me at the moment.

I just had a "getting old" moment. I went to the Fat Cat to see a couple of quite good bands, and have a couple of drinks, and I was enjoying myself. Then, about halfway through the second act, my back started to hurt. I found a seat and sat through the rest of the set, but ugh. It's not fair, I say!

I do not know that anyone here is interested, but in case they are, I have updated my profile to include a link to my gaming blog. Different, more specific content than here.

Today, on my way home from work, I stopped at a fairly new sandwich shop to pick up dinner. They offered me a free cookie: I guess that's their gimmick. So I walked home, and somewhere between there and here, I forgot about it.

So just now, while cleaning up my kitchen, I grabbed the sandwich bag to throw it out and..... FREE SURPRISE COOKIE!...

I gave in and bought that XBox 360. I'm trying to buy less "stuff", and spend more of that money on "doing things", but I justify this one because it allows me to play with people I meet online. So it's LIKE doing things, only I don't leave the house.

So it's a weak justification. Give me my moment, people.
