I am very cynical when it comes to the government.
That said, I say let everyone be excited right now and save the cynicism and naysaying for after January 2009.
I'd rather bask in the historical moment right now.
Also, that radical candidate you want? The one who isn't a left of center liberal like Barack? That person WILL NEVER WIN. Not likely in our lifetime....although we said the same thing about a black President, so who knows?

I agree it is a historic occasion and such but I can't hold back the worry of how things are going to go after January.
