So here's the rundown again, with added details.
Left my apartment at midnight for 6am flight. Flight leaves at 8am. Miss connection. Four hours in Memphis. Not a happy Hysanadu.
Finally make it to Montgomery, asshat airline sent my luggage ahead of me on the flight I missed. Initially think they lost my luggage, then douchebag counter guy brings it out.
Get to my sister's place, spend quality time with my mom and sister and nieces and nephews. Scan a ton of old pictures (me when I was an eight pound baby...awesome). Eat a lot of food. One thing about visiting family, you know you will never starve.
Get to Memphis on time going back...flight is delayed for two hours, during which time we watch the Giants upset the annointed Patriots and then board. Get to Chicago at 11:15pm, a full two and a half hours late.
Never flying during the winter. Ever. Again. Not flying Northwest either.
But all the stress was worth it to see my family. I missed them.
