I am suffereing from extreme insomnia right now so heres a story about the five most beautiful women in the world
enjoy!
In a dark and cold chamber, a woman sits alone. She has lived in the chamber for four years, never aging. She hasnt eaten or slept. Her only possession is an apple by her side, never rotting or spoiling. How she longs to eat it but knows she cant for the apple contains her life-force and if she eats it, shell die. She has suffered so much pain and anguish and wants nothing more for it to stop and still she does not eat. There is something more. Her thirst is for freedom. Her hunger is for vengeance.
Andromeda was the most beautiful queen in all the lands. Her passion and grace was known by many. Her magic blessed the lands and united the people. One day a young handsome man came to her and took her to the sea. He declared his love for her and she fell passionately for him. She let him see all the secrets and treasures of her lands. The young man than revealed his true form as the Necromancer. He stole her magic and passion and imprisoned her in her own bed chambers. Andromedas heart was broken, and she fell deeply depressed. No one came to her aid for the Necromancers true talents lies in his deceits and manipulation. Soon the people of all the lands fell under his control. His dark magic stripped the lands of its natural beauty, divided its people and casts a dark shadow over all. He would soon recruit the young for his wars and acquire more lands and devour all resources. His rhetoric was about liberty and justice and created false enemies to trick the people into thinking they were at danger. War was his true passion. As the Necromancer raged his bloody campaigns, Andromeda sat alone, pale, weak, wanting to taste death but she waits. For not everyone was so easily manipulated by the Necromancers spells.
Lenore was a warrior from the lands of Oregon. She carried a heavy blade named Crispin. Many in the lands knew it from her days of raising wild panthers. Anyone who tried to steal or hurt her cats met Crispin with a bloody end. Her people were scholars with a love of nature, music and theater. Lenore has always wanted to star in a play but has always lack the courage. It is easier to kill a man than make him cry she always says. But now her village is under a shadow, no plays or parties. The Necromancer took many from her village and shipped them off to a far away land. Though many in her village feel the Necromancer is good, she knows he lies and hides behind his deceits.
Poe, like Lenore, is also a well traversed warrior. Though, more nomadic by nature, she hails from the lands of Florida. It is said that her ancestors were descendents of the Gods and she possesses a connection with the supernatural world. On her back lies Hayao, the most deadliest bow in all the lands. She could hit a bird 500 yards away in direct sunlight. Her people were known for their artistry and singing. She was an artist herself. She also raised wild cats but felt bad leaving her cat behind because he was very sick. The Necromancer has taken all our medicine and we must be at the mercy of his wicked schemes she tries to convince everyone. Some of her people scolded her for speaking out against the Necromancer. They themselves were under his spell and tried to spread lies about and discredit her but she didnt back down and does not care what simple minded people think. She kissed her cat goodbye and left to face the Necromancer.
Poison, the youngest, came from a land known as Kentucky. Beautiful trees and wide open pastures allowed this woman to become a fierce fighter and somewhat of a free spirit. She made a glove with sharp blades on each finger. She called the glove Dirge. Despite her knowledge and passions, it was said that her name came from the fact that her blood and skin were poisonous to the touch and anyone who touched her would die from it. This made it hard for Poison to have real friendships and even more, relationships, something she wanted very badly. She did not get along with the people in her village and decided to set out and meet some old friends one day. She too knew of the Necromancer and hated his spells and dark magic.
Despite the quarreling between the different lands, Lenore, Poe, and Poison were friends and decided to head south towards the wastelands of the Necromancer together. The three have been traveling for a month when they reach the dark mountains, a natural border between the lands of the north and those truly controlled by the Necromancer. They climbed up to the pass and entered the dark woods.
The days are colder and darker now, we need to rest by a friendly fire for the night said Lenore. Even though they planned for the trip, food was running low and their spirits were not much brighter than the small fire that flickered in the chilling wind.
There are others here, in these woods, we must be on guard warned Poe for she could feel a sense of malice in the trees and the hills beyond. Despite her warning, the three fell asleep hungry and chilled. The fire was quickly engulfed by the wind.
The next morning they awoke to find new blankets and food. A small plate of bread and two carafes of wine were laid next to their camp.
Is this some new trick by the Necromancer? said Poison. Poe picked up the plate No, this is a gift from someone else. Someone weve never seen nor met. Legend has it that a spirit wanders these lands keeping watch over those strong of mind and spirit. This spirit has answered the prayers of dying soldiers and weeping mothers. The gifts are a sign that we as humans are on the right path. Last night I felt someone was watching us, but perhaps it was for our protection explained Poe. The three warriors ate the bread and drank the wine in their new blankets. The wine was incredibly invigorating and strong. They danced, laughed and occasionally exposed their breasts to one another, a little side effect of the wine. After they ate and drank they bathed in the river and rested under a grove of trees. For many hours they slept better than they had in a long time.
The next day brought the thickest fog they have ever seen, so thick that they lost their path.
There must be a way down but its too foggy to see said Lenore. Just then, a figure emerged from the fog ahead of them. A man appeared wearing cruel armor and carrying a giant mace in his hand. His face, mangled from years of warfare. His eyes bloody and full of hate. I can show you a way out he said. Death can be quite comforting when one is alone and hopeless. You three are lost but soon you will sleep but never dream. The Necromancer knows you are coming and has sent me to give you the warmest welcome. The three warriors were still a little dizzy from the day before and not in the best state of readiness. The man charged with his mace knocking Poison and Lenore down. Poe quickly fired an arrow but only hit his shoulder. The man stood over Poe and raised his arm to strike. Suddenly a spear emerged from his chest ripping his ribcage in two. The man fell to his knees. Lenore sprang up and quickly hewed his head. The body fell back and the man was no more. The owner of the spear was Alexis, shorter than the others but just as dangerous. She wiped the blood off her spear, named Elvgren.
Alexis came from a northern land known as Pennsylvania. Her people are trapped in their village by the Necromancers cruel winter. Only the strongest and bravest venture out into the snow and Alexis was one of the finest warriors her lands had ever seen. Her body was painted with her peoples history. Her hair long and black and eyes that could melt or startle your heart.
My name is Alexis and I have been following you for five days, not knowing whether you were friend or foe. But after your little talk with our dead friend over there, I think you might be friendly.
Why are you all the way down here? asked Poe Like you, I must try to end the Necromancers spell or my village and people will freeze to death. It is the darkest winter we have ever seen. Even the mighty eagles that dwell in our lands headed south to warmer waters. I know the Necromancer is very powerful but his words dont fool me. Elvgren will pierce his lying heart
But there is still the matter of getting out of this maze. We cant seem to find a good path said Poison. Dont worry, I saw a way down before this fog rolled in. No question another trick by the Necromancer said Alexis. Follow me, now with four of us, he might be more willing to negotiate.
