I got a call today from this girl I used to date a couple of months back. She called because she left some DVDs at my place and wanted me to mail them to her. I said I would and that I was sorry that it took me so long to get them back to her. She then offered to drive up (about an hour drive) to pick them up here. I said no, don't bother, I'll just mail them to you liked we discussed. She flips out, calling me a heartless selfish prick and is making her feel like a leper.

I then tried to explain a little fact about life to her. Here is basically what I said: People meet, people date, and sometimes they fall in love. Sometimes they don't and find they are not meant for each other and go their seperate ways. And even sometimes, someone gets hurt because the other doesn't want them anymore. These things happen. You hurt for awhile and move on. But if you continully let someone make you feel worthless, the problem isn't them, its you. You have to accept what you can't have and move on. Life didn't go your way, So what? You can't win them all and you have to be strong and move along. Some people will never give you closure, validation, or whatever you seek, no matter how hard you try. You don't think I haven't had my share of strife? I've been treated less than human by some women. It hurt like hell but guess what, I got over moved along and learn something from my terrible experience.
Tomorrow I will mail her the last remaining excuse for her ever to have contact with me. Its been two months since we talk and I don't feel like ever talking to her again. Am I a cold hearted prick? Maybe, but at least I'm not crazy.
