Last time... on Hypersage's Blog.

Jonas Brothers, Miley, Zoo's, Rock Band and whining like a little girl.

Now for the next episode of Hypersage's blog!

I'm really loving this song right now, I can't get it out of my head.

Although, can you imagine if your sex was actually on fire? Ouch.

We're finding out that raising money for charity is a hard thing to do, especially with the economy as it is. Since no-one has the money to sponsor us (new friends click here if you want to know what's going on), we started looking for other ways to raise the money. We decided to put on a fair on a field near my brother's pub so for the past few weeks I've been busting my ass trying to arrange things to fill up the space. We have various games arranged, book stalls, cake stalls and other similar things. I've also managed to arrange some demonstrations by local clubs, so far we have a martial arts club and (hopefully) a fencing group.
The police are gonna attend and have an information stand (they've become really big on their community profile) and will also fingerprint the kids and let them take the print sheet home (which is more than they did when I got arrested biggrin ).
Today, while trying to get more things arranged, I crossed paths with a highly dangerous group - The Burger Van Mafia. Obviously, we need some food and tasty beverages for the people who (we hope) will attend and we'd arranged that a friend was gonna bring his burger stall down and split the profit's with the charity. Then we got a call from him saying that he couldn't do it because it was someone else's turf.
Next there's a phone call from the person who "operates on this patch", they want to know how we can arrange for them to set up at our event. I told them that I will decide who sells food at MY event by who can offer the best deal for the charity. If they can offer a good deal then they can set up, if not I'll bring a grill and sell the burgers myself. I'm calling them later in the week to "arrange a meet" whatever .

You know, I'm only half joking when I say "Burger Van Mafia". I saw a news report a little while ago about people being attacked by rivals over a good pitch or having their vans set on fire for stepping on someones turf. Maybe I need protection, does anyone have hamburglar's phone number? biggrin

I'm reading "To kill A Mockingbird" again and it's got me thinking. We all know what's right and what's wrong, and we'd all like to think that in any given situation we'd do the right thing. How about when the wrong thing is more socially acceptable than the right thing? Would you have the courage to stand alone and do what's right? If racism was normal and even encouraged by most of society, would you have the strength to treat everyone as human beings rather than a skin colour? I hope that I would.

It's an amazing book and you really should read it, if you haven't already.

"Before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience."

That is a rad moustache. I cut out newspaper clippings of Moustache Tournaments to inspire my upper lip to start growing.
So far, nada.
Do you suppose Rogaine would work on my lip? tongue

Thanks for the comment about my pictures. I aim to please.

Because they're so awesome!! You can't tell me that having the kind of moustache that you posted in my blog would not be something totally wonderful.

Honestly, it's just another thing for me to express myself. One time I drew a moustache on a piece of cardboard, cut it out, taped it to my face, added a lil' goatee, and spent the rest of my shift at work ringing customers through. About half told me I'm dashing and the rest thought I was weird. I'd say that's a pretty good way to find out what kind of people I'm willing to converse with further.

Like a quasi testing phase?

Anyway, I also think they're hot. I love men with facial hair - weak in the knees, I'm telling you. I think I could achieve that level of hotness as well, with a fancy moustache!
