Glad it sounds like he is going to be ok. When my dad was in his 20's, he got in a motorcycle accident. If he hadn't been wearing a helmet, he would've been killed. His tib/fib bones were crushed though, he now has metal in his leg... which has caused serious problems with his knee 20 years later. A few years ago, he had to get a knee replacement surgery because of it.
