well well well.
i found out today that my dad fell in a restaurants in houston and has a severe concussion, a broken rib, and smacked out one of his teeth.
i havent yet been able to contact him, but he did leave a very sleepy sounding message on my machine.. guess thats what oxycontin does to you.
i had lunch with my sweetie at la paz in vinings today. vinings is pretty but fuck, after a few months i'd feel totally suffocated. suburbian even.
i expressed to james that i feel like i have nothing in common with "other" wives. like his coworkers wives, who are only 2-4 yrs older than me but it seems like 20 or 40. i fix my hair every day, i get my nails done, i wear my makeup, i drink, curse and smoke, and i always make sure to wear an awesome bra.
BRAS ARE FOR SUPPORT NOT JUST TO COVER YOUR BOOBS. TIGHTEN YOUR STRAPS. omg.
but either way they all have houses and tell cute stories about finding animals in the yard, and mowing the yard, and how they've never lived together til they were married. i said "fucked up" todat at lunch and for a sec i was almost sheepish. i dont see james and i going this path. i dont see us with a houseful of kids. i dont want to have dinner parties and mow a yard or give up my concrete floors. i love having fun with james, and i love that it's just us.
i guess it makes me a feel a little out of place. happy, but maybe strangely isolated.

I completely understand the other wives thing. I actually have the 'other moms thing'. It sounds very similar. But I figure if my boys don't mind I don't sweat it.
