our manager had a meltdown. no lie. this guy is nuts. he's our beverage manager (all he does is buy wine and supervise lunches), basically a fucking wino-nerd who is totally irrational and moody.
so today at lunch he HID for the entire shift. no one could find him, and shit needed to get done. everyone worked almost straight through into dinner and 2 girls didnt show up today.
the biggest thing was today at the pre-meeting shift he told this really bizarre story. he was talking about our food runner, malik, and how malik didnt want to be a server assistant. so our manager says "so, to be vindictive, i docked him a few shifts. i couldnt fire him, because you know, he's worked here since 1997. unlike you snivelling servers, who are just waiting for the next good deal and are going to turn around and fuck me and this restaurant first chance you get. so i have to treat him better than you."
WHAT THE FUCK ASSHOLE!
what really shoved me over was when i went to have him check and sign my cashout, another girl was in front of me in line. i didnt know and accidentally butted her in line. i apologised, and our manager says "Looks like HyperMediocrity just cock-blocked you, D. How does it feel to be cock blocked?"
the rest of the management staff is great. this guy is just a supreme dick. i think i may ask to have a conference with my general manager.
