It's Sunday, we were in the field awake for 34 hours doing our thing. I jost woke up and I'm sick (of course) I cannot wait to leave this place!!!!!!
Anyway, a few more weeks, they are still dangling Vegas in front of us but nothing is solid. What to do in Vegas if we get there! We would only have 48 hours of fun if we get it, where to even start with such little time.
This week will be fun, convoy ops, you know, those things that get blown up evey day in Iraq, I'm glad that's not my job, but we do have to learn it, they say the worst ride is from the airport to your base, all major roads and it takes four hours. That is the only thing that scares me, I can care less about some insurgent trys to shoot me, bottom line, he'll go down first. But roadside bombs!?! (IED's) You have no control, and you can just drive in the desert everywhere, you need roads to get to cities.
On a brighter note, I'm still glad I'm on our side. I put a few rounds through a 50 caliber sniper rifle yesterday. They other end of that cannot be plesant. That thing shoots thru armor. And my god is it loud, just the displacement of air around you is fucked up.
Ahh this entry isboring, sorry, I'm sick, I need food and more sleep, up at 5 am again Monday. Enjoy life kids, I cannot say that enough!!!!
Oh yeah, almost forgot, I think I need to move to Texas. Any input?
