I'm ALIVE!!!! We just got power back a couple of hours ago.
Last night was hideous. I felt bad for everyone without power last night (including my Mom and Dad and I). It was 81 degrees outside, with a breeze at 0 mph out of the west. wow... that sure helps the circulation in the house doesn't it?
I called my friend in Australia last night, to let her know I was ok. She was happy to hear from me, but her boss ended up having to meet with her. She sent me an email later letting me know why she had to get off the phone so sudden. She really is a sweetheart. Women can be that way sometimes!
I have a new profile pic, but it just depends on how soon I can get it from my sis. [cure=evilwillow] is a busy busy girl.
I am not supposed to give boxes to customers, even though the thought process on why we shouldn't do that is outmoded and incorrect. So a nice couple came into the store today and one of the other management asked if I could spare some boxes because their house was about to collapse (due to Hurricane Jeanne). I gave them a coupla boxes from TVs and such (was all we had) and then I gave them some of the store's own boxes. They were happy, and I felt a little better.
There are too many lights out... too many intersections without traffic cops/ National Guard!
***I would like to take this moment to commend and thank the National Guard for their service during these trying times. They have helped relieve alot of stress on our fat and somewhat lazy policemen. Go Guard!!! lol ***
Donate you bastards! .... ok so I have been thinking, and I may have mentioned this in a previous journal... WJRR 101.1 is holding what is shaping up to be a mega concert next month. I think it is next month... anyways... it is like uhm.... $25 ... all those proceeds are going to Hurricane Relief... so uhm, if you feel that you need to be selfish to donate...then go see them, and you will still be donating, but also having a rockin time!
