So me and my friend Aleks borrowed this weird hippy's car to drive down to Monterey to go Michelle's wedding. This is the first of my high school chums to tie the noose....errrr knot. We would have made it on time but, (surprise!) there was traffic on a Valentine's Day Saturday on the beautiful 101 freeway...and we couldn't find the chapel because it wasn't connected to the actual church/school thingy but was in fact down the road in a strip mall(?).

The whole thing was quite surreal, seeing someone you know in such an "adult" situation. We're just kids right?!?

The reception dinner thing was pretty weird too. One of the groom's friends looked to me and Aleks and said something about looking like the Beatles. Yeah, I guess my hair has grown in to a bit of a mop-top I suppose. Then the groom's dad chimes in with a stern and decisive, "It's the 'Mod' look.". Oh man...too funny.

The dinner was a "pay your own way" affair so me and the other "kids" decided to make it a "liquid dinner" . New Castle, New Castle, New Castle!! Then this guy Travis busts out the ass pocket o' whiskey...whew! Almost enough to make one forget that this is the first Valentine's I've had as a single monkey for three years...

Did I mention the bride is four months pregnant? Did I hear a....."SHOTGUN"???
