Got back from the SD last night. all the reasons I love/hate that place compacted into one week. Yuppie SUV scum...bad. SoCal burritos....very very good.
Went to a show at the epicenter, one of the few places the under 21 crowd can see music in that town. I felt like an old man watching all the new crusty punk kids being...kids. The Clash's "all the young punks" replaying in my head. At least I got some good photos of the new youth culture thingy. ohhhh AND I met Guy Piccioto from Fugazi who happened to be in town for the show. well, I mostly just stared at him slack-jawed. All I could get out was "thank you", but that really sums up all I needed to say I suppose.
It was great to see all the old chums...if only I could get them to move up here life would be sooo much more interesting.
