So for the past little space of time I've been working for my friend as a delivery driver. I pick up jewellry to be repaired from jewellers and deliver newly reparied jewellry to these same jewellers.

My quest for these magic stones takes me all over the bay area. In one round I will usually cross three of the bay area bridges which, I assure...

Sweet. An Eggers comparison? I'm looking forward to the McSweeney's anthology next month. I say that... but then I get distracted and forget to read more. I'm so sad.

You know I really couldnt tell if the host of the Super Dogs show was being serious or not...I think he was...but it seems like a CRAZY idea.

that's the coolest thing I've seen in July. I'm getting zero work done today.
mc_escher:
it doesn't know the word 'funky'. all the important songs have the word 'funky' in them.

Hello. I just remembered what happened a year ago today. Long, stupid story you don't want to hear shortened: She hurt me bad then moved to England. People are unusual.

Goddamned summertime blues.

*eerie update*
my friend just called because it is apparently a psuedo-anniversary of heartache for him as well. marked by his getting into this band called For Stars, who happens to be...

It is not as easy as it looks. TRUST me. It is nothing like bowling...bowling is done with shoes and a solid non slippery floor. Curling consists of wearing these "sliders" over your shoes which make the ice EXTRA slippery. You're co-ordinationg must be spectacular to balance on your slippery foot and non slippery foot fast enough to keep up with the moving rock. Plus..sweeping is killer on the arms.

i just hate my entries b/c they take so long to type, i like your *economy* - it's really interesting, but short & sweet. smile

globalization makes my head hurt too. i really am distrustful .... but there's so much *potential* there, it seems foolish to dismiss it out of hand. the problem is all the things you cannot see, the predictions you cannot be sure of. that's hardly a profound realization - but it is the one that matters in the end, eh?

Happy Birfday America!!

let's get drunk and listen to Toby Keith!

c'mere! I'm gonna put a boot in yer ass....its the "American" way duder!

don't drive drunk. don't ride your bike too drunk.

ovida:
But drunk bike riding is fun, not to mention a great spectator sport frown
signalnoise:
you keep talking about about toby, he'll come and kick your un-american ass. (i've seen him do it...) wink

moving does make you simplify - when i moved last fall, i tossed a bunch of stuff. and just helping my parents move - i know they did the same. maybe i should move more? but i hate moving....

I've stopped living in mono.

Wait, no, I don't have mono. Though, thanks to that scene in Wayne's World, I think I do whenever I'm bored.

That was just a stupid way of saying I got new headphones. For months I've been using the remains of my last pair (just a wire and the left speaker) for wacky adventures in mono-monitoring.

Yep, stereo is pretty...

it's funny that you should say the bathroom is the new office ... we have tons of closets in our apartment (two big walk-in closets in the entryway, plus a walk-in closet in the bedroom - these are the only grang things about our apartment by the way). anyway. at one point, the rumor was that i would turn one of these closets into an office. but i find them too dank & dark. plus, we have so much shit, we need all that space .... i think i need to simplify.. (or move....(

RJD2's "Since we last spoke" album is so fucking good. Sooo. Fucking. Good. Man's got funk coming out his ears.

Speaking of aural funk, mr. perisarc has gone grey. Tis a shame. Didn't say an awful lot, but he was very nice and witty. I'm glad I bumped into him (virtually speaking). He is extremely talented at producing music and animation. His albums are in...

hello again super-friends. this the umpteenth attempt at writing this little update journal ditty. i must say my previous attempts were so awesomely witty, one even had a western theme with covered wagons and such. unfortunately my flatmate's ancient laptop has a distaste for asian-irish hybrids and their writing styles and likes to shut-down suddenly as if to say, "ha ha! take that you asian-irish...

actually i stalled out in the last half of "All Tomorrow's Parties", but i have "Pattern Recognition"...i decided i would start the storyboarding at "Virtual Light" since that's where a few of the characters that spin through Idoru, AT'sP, and PR begin...i am hoping that this process of re-reading every detail as to put them on screen will help carry me through "At'sP and PR" since i wolfed down every Gibson book up to those with gusto.I seriously read all of his books in a matter of a couple of weeks. I started reading Neal Stephenson's work after that, and as immensely popular his work is, i don't find it up to par with Gibson's. although i see he has a two part story that is now in hardcover that looks compelling. Gibson is the man though, i wonder who he steals his ideas from.
