Waiting on staff to review my set makes me anxious!!!! It's been pending review a bit longer than last time, but it's all good biggrin

I haven't been up to much in the past few days. Mainly being a recluse, which is what I really enjoy most right now. I should be studying for cosmetology state board exams coming late this month, but I'm such a...

just trusting things to happen means thing'll happen but not necessarily the RIGHT things ...

Ah, being a recluse, like wine, improves with age. Procrastination, however loses its glamor almost immediately...

Well, as sad as it was, Matthew has gone back to Ohio. He had lived here with me for almost 2 years and we just both decided it was best if we went separate ways for now...it may be temporary, it may be forever. We just had a hard time getting along. I'm the type of person who needs space, and I have plenty of...

time does its part, i guess. i've always been more of a believer in space, though. sometimes you just can't work through what needs to be sorted out if you're too close to someone. that's the way it is for me, at least. i need time on my own, away from everybody, to come to grips with exactly what i think about certain situations. once i do that, i can work out what i expect, and actually talk to other people about it. but i have to get my mind made up first, so i know where i stand and what i expect. and it sounds to me like that's kind of what you're doing here, so it makes perfect sense to my mind.

just take it slow, keep your head on, and it'll work.
lolablu:
Sounds like you two made a good decision for right now. Who knows what will happen in the future?

Okay so Wade's surgery went fine. It was actually outpatient surgery, which meant that after the dope wore off and they made sure he was all good after the procedure, he was free to go. He sounded fine on the phone, just a little groggy from the dope, but we're both pretty positive that this is going to be okay now. I can't help but...

So I got back from Montgomery with my friend Wade to get his test results. I was so worried for him, and the doctor came in and confirmed it is indeed cancer. Wade seemed to take it well, although I'm sure underneath he is afraid and I am worried about him. The doctor said surgery would be needed immediately as well as another scan of...

Wow I wasn't expecting to read that. I hope you're doing well, and please don't be too worried. I'm sure you already know to just enjoy each day, which I think is the best thing anyone can really do.
gringo:
It's cool that you are being there for him. I'm not sure if the cancer is malignant or benign because you didn't specify. But if you don't know, definitely find out. It makes a HUGE difference.

I hope that you and your friend are able to cope with the condition as best as possible - regardless of the outcome. smile

Ughh I am up early.

I am going to Montgomery with a friend of mine today. It is a few hours' drive, but he is very sick and he is getting his blood results bad and I am VERY worried. He has a mass they think might be malignant, and we're hoping the blood results may shed some light on this. I asked to go...

Alright!

Thanks to EVERYBODY who left me comments about my set in my blog, and for the complete honesty on what you thought would make this set better. After being on the site a while I knew what was wrong and why it wouldn't be accepted, but I really appreciate the thorough honesty on everything!! You guys are excellent. Since my set has gone up,...

Just checked out your set and loved it.
annabeylah:
okay. you look GREAT!!! and i love your makeup in the set!!
the only thing is that the photography doesn't do you justice.
you have really great poses, etc...
my advice is just to check out the "sets of the day" and try to get that kind of style with the photography!
it looks like the room you are shooting in was dark/didn't have good lighting so there are some crazy harsh shadows going on with the flash.
the clutter in the background has to go, and the pics were blurry (comparatively speaking to the other sets that usually get accepted as "set of the day"!)... try changing the settings on the camera, or get a new camera, so the quality of the pics is *crisper*.
i think it just needs some photoshopping.
NOT on you, you look beautiful!
just... you know, to make the contrast of colors stand out so everything isn't so "all the same" looking.
but yeah.
that's all just technical stuff.
fix that, and you will go pink for sure!
you are lovely! love

Sorry for the lack of updates!
New set coming soon, my old one goes up tomorrow. It's a fail, no excuses.. but I have learned so much in the short time being here, and by working with a professional photographer in the new set, I am more confident in it.
The old one will be deleted as soon as it is eligible.

I'm on klonopin,...

Sorry for the huge down time! I know I went from posting everyday to barely any at all.

Today we went to Panama City for a little bit and did nothing! How you go to a huge city and do nothing is beyond me, but that's what we did. It was better than rotting in the house all day, which is what we've been doing...

Yay for tomorrow! My set with Sheyva goes up in the morning and you come 12 hours later. Even with your boyfriend's novice status behind the camera, I'm sure that you were fabulous in front of it. Best of luck!!

Hi everybody <3
I haven't been on as much lately, especially the past few days. 2 days ago I went to bed really late and pretty much as soon as I laid down, I started having horrific side pains that started in my back. Hooray for kidney stones! My side still hurts now, but the worst is over, finally. I was beginning to think for...

heh

kid was 4, and Aileen (sis) had just explained that her tummy was so big because there was a baby in it.

so she just assumed that my tummy, being just as big, also had a baby in it.
rockethenry:
Whoa, Hyndrix, kidney stones are no joke. I had them and never, up to that point, had I ever had pain that bad. I didn't know what to do but rush to an emergency MD service on a Saturday who somehow had just the right pill to give me to take the pain away. Luckily for me, it dissolved by itself and I haven''t had one since. I did have something very similar called diverticulitis. While in a different part of the body, it feels just like a kidney stone and hurts like hell--about equal to the unbelievable pain of the kidney stone. Anyone who hasn't had one just doesn't know.
so I wish you well. am so sorry you have them recurring. and hope this treatment does something very good for you.
all the best r-h smile
