Niiiice. How did you do against Vaati at the end? I sucked and had to read a walkthrough.
As for my fantasy, I found that the fact I was writing it and not just thinking it made me push my imagination to the limit

I forgot about the timed Darknut fight, but I do remember having to do three of them. The end was very similar to Ocarina of Time's end as I recall? Palace crumbling, have to get out before a certain time?
I should just finish my walkthrough and find out already...
I was a pussy about fighting Vaati... I got down to like 3 hearts and no fairies and said "fuck it" and turned the game off, went to my computer and visited good old Gamefaqs. I really shouldn't give up so easily. Even though I eventually won It's like he beat me anyway.
Personally I'm mad for those collection side-quests, especially after the Nintendo gallery in Wind Waker. I don't like that to complete your figurines set in Minish Cap you basically have to find thousands and thousands of rupees and buy a zillion sets of 30 mysterious shells so you have enough to trade. There aren't enough shells available in the game. Maybe there's a secret I'm missing.
Speaking of secrets I'll give you the infinite money trick, maybe you know it already (spoilered in case you want to try to figure it out yourself, but the clue in the game isn't very helpful):

So I showed up at the courtroom yesterday at 2:30, and was soon told by the bailiff that the case had been settled. I picked up my $6 check and went home.
What a waste of a day.

the thing is, you can keep trading in used DS's and GC's and back and forth when new games for those systems come out.

Loooove Minish Cap. My walkthrough for it is about 80% complete, I just need to finish Dark Hyrule Castle and the Vaati strategies. During my beach vacation I completed my set of figurines, got all the heart containers and kinstone fusions on my first saved game.
Wasn't too impressed by the soundtrack though. Granted most of the tunes are from previous Zeldas, but still, the original music just isn't that interesting in my opinion. I do like the Minish Village/Melari's Mines song, but it makes me sad so I don't like it as much.

Oy. Jury duty. Until I get mine it's like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. I wonder if there's some sort of megacomputer out there that has the jury duty dates for everyone in America. Huh. Kind of reminds me of H2G2.
I really like that Al set, she looks so lovely, the hair and makeup are fabulous.
I still have no interest in a DS.

Yesterday, at Bennigan's, I met a girl I had kinda known in high school. She said hi, we chatted a bit. I decided to ask her out. Well, she's already got a boyfriend. And he's forty-three years old.
With a ten-year old son. Ick. Why do some girls go out with men twice their age? Well, I figured I wouldn't want to go out with...

I've been thinking about the age difference thing recently. I'm still not sure how I feel about it.
Dumb fact: Bennigan's is not vegetarian-friendly
I've always wanted to try theatre. I remember this one thing I had to do for a class in high school, I had to act out a part from Crime and Punishment as Raskolnikov (I know, right?) and I did such a good job that this one girl came up to me after our presentation and asked if I acted with the school theatre thing, and when I said no she said "you should!" I think I've got it within me to act well. Strange from such an introvert, but maybe it's the whole "I'd rather pretend to be someone else" thing
As for chess! I'd be glad to play chess with ya, just let me refresh on the rules and basics and I'll let you know when I'm "ready" (competition makes me nervous). I don't know how long that will take, maybe a week or two. But I'll let you know!
I'm figuring at some point I should start a chess thread in the puzzles group... eventually

So I guess your sister is a Sagittarius... Nov 21 is the last day for Scorpios.
As I said I probably won't be ready to get my chess on for at least a week or two... I don't quite remember the rules or any kind of strategy. Sorry to make you wait :-\\ But if you played me now I wouldn't know how the pieces move and stuff

Why do people from the billing department, who don't know how to do their own job, keep calling me to iron shit out? Ask your supervisor, or your trainer, or the person sitting next to you, for fuck's sake. Don't ask me.
cigarette:
Yeah, this is my second time thru the series. Collectively, it's probably my favorite Stephen King work.
zephyra:
You should have asked her out!
I've gotten myself straightened out now. My crush on the escort girl is over, and I feel sick for having even entertained the idea. But overall, the experience was all right. Not sure if it's really worth $180, but if I have free cash and no girlfriend in a month or two, I might do it again. I don't think there's anything wrong with that....

A wonderful girl I met on a fluke. it was an amazing coincidence.
She's a lot of fun, and honestly exactly what I want.

Låt as "year" sounds like a good guess to me, though Polish is a Slavic language and Norwegian is Germanic. I didn't mention that the nominations were of specific songs, but I guess that would mean "song of the year" then.
Doing a search for the word on Google I get a whole lot of music pages, so maybe it doesn't mean something so generic as "year" and is more specific to music, i.e. "single" (as was my guess) since as I said the nominations were of specific songs.
But then I see the word used a lot elsewhere too in many regular sentences, so it must mean something else, at least in different contexts.
*shrug*

The classic.

If you don't get any other figurines, at least try to get Phantom Ganon. That is one badass figurine. There are a ton of them in Ganon's castle, and there's the one at the Forsaken Fortress the second time.
But I can understand not wanting to bother. It's tricky, and only for the really dedicated and obsessed gamers like me
