Låt as "year" sounds like a good guess to me, though Polish is a Slavic language and Norwegian is Germanic. I didn't mention that the nominations were of specific songs, but I guess that would mean "song of the year" then.
Doing a search for the word on Google I get a whole lot of music pages, so maybe it doesn't mean something so generic as "year" and is more specific to music, i.e. "single" (as was my guess) since as I said the nominations were of specific songs.
But then I see the word used a lot elsewhere too in many regular sentences, so it must mean something else, at least in different contexts.
