I'm going out to Hyena's (the Ft. Worth one) tonight with a friend from work. He -- or his girlfriend, or somebody -- won a bunch of free tickets. So I'll be having a good time on New Year's Eve. How about you guys?
Last night, I met a girl at Rack Daddy's (pool/karaoke bar). It was nothing special, and she's not even that cute, but it was nice to be noticed. She said I had pretty eyes.
Maybe I'll see her again next week and get her number. Why I didn't get it last night, I don't know.

I FINALLY ordered VII. I can't wait. I've just been too busy lately then I forgot about it. But I did get a chance to read Gideon's Trumpet (which I was supposed to read for class four eyars ago and never did) and Deliverance which is really good, I recommend it.
I can't imagine how King is going to finish that series. VII is either going to be a religious literary experience or intensely disappointing.
