The Dark Tower. Almost to the end now. Absolutely hypnotizing.
I'm going out to Hyena's (the Ft. Worth one) tonight with a friend from work. He -- or his girlfriend, or somebody -- won a bunch of free tickets. So I'll be having a good time on New Year's Eve. How about you guys?

Hey... sounds like a good season so far!
My haul: a couple of books I wanted, a new close-up lens for my camera, a pair of jeans, a kitchen knife (that I asked for). All in all, not too bad. My parents resisted the impulse to be "creative", i.e. to get me something I didn't want.
Cheers... hope the new year brings cool stuff your way! -- Zork

i got all kinds of goodies but i am too lazy to list them all. The biggest part was i got a big some of money to start a saving fund for my new car that i will have this summer. A '05 MINI Cooper S.
Brother just flew in. (And boy, are his arms....) We'll have a merry ol' Christmas together.
And that's all I have to report. Happy Christmas Eve, everyone!

I think it tastes like that Hi-C "slimer's ectoplasm" drink back in the day. I used to love drinking that shit, and eating oreo Big Stuf cookies. Plus, I couldn't find any smirnoff ice triple black in a 12 pack.
Chilled briefly with some of these people. Had to leave early, so that sucked. I gotta work in the morning
Hey... there are 474 SG's. Thirteen days until Jan. 1... which means that, unless someone goes into the archive, we'll hit our 500th SuicideGirl (and 1,000th boob) on New Year Day.
.... I'm a dumbass. There's only one new girl a day.
Ignore me.

Hey... happy winter solstice, and all that.
Yes... after a hard-fought battle, I regained the rights to "Zork". Good thing... that extra "e" was bugging me.
Not much new here... just muddling along, hoping Christmas will bypass me so I can get on with other stuff...
Hope all's well in Texas...

I thought about 5. But since I know absolutely there is gonna be a next time, and I don't want there to be a next time, I chose to deal with it now.
it went surprisingly well. the guy is arab/pakistani, and prone to yelling when angry. He was calm, listened to me, and while I don't know how he talked about me when I left the mall to the other store owners, I felt that he did understand that yeah, he fucked up, and yeah, he shouldn't have pulled what he did. I told him I'd work the next week but that I was worried about my payment issue, and he promptly paid me and then told me I didn't have to work for him this week. He also said that if he needed the store covered for something special like him going out of town, he would look me up.

I finished Wind Waker last night. Sweet.
And today I'm taking a friend to the dentist to get her wisdom teeth out. Ouch!
And tomorrow, there's a party at zephyra's house! w00t!

Damn. So I missed Cosmic Bowling tonight. Only half my fault -- the other half was a big friggin' wreck on 35E. Everyone was gone by the time I got there. Just to make sure the trip wasn't a total waste, I went to Babydolls.
Sorry, guys. Well, I can hopefully make it to the next event.
emily_m:
HAHA, you went to Babydolls instead?! That is hilarious! At least you did something other than just turning around and going home.
squee_:
What is cosmic bowling? Or babydolls for that matter?
GAAH!!!!
"definately"
I've seen that three or four times today. This is pissing me off so much. I rarely complain about spelling or grammar, but for fuck's sake people, It's DEFINITELY!!!!
See???
Jesus-fucking-hell!!!
In other news, I just made my 1,000th comment. Didn't notice until 1,008. Yay me....

It's kind of like how people will say 'ideal' instead of 'idea'......it just grates on my nerves and makes me want to smack them upside their head.
megageoff:
I wish there was something like that for every day life. Like, someone would start talking to you about something and you'd listen to that first little bit and then push a button if you want them to continue talking. That would kick so much ass!
I know I'll be able to find something better, but it pisses me off that they did that to me.

It's so delightfully white trash!

I read them all.
So I helped a friend de-spyware his computer today. First, we deleted a bunch of shit from his 8GB hard drive, then we downloaded spybot -- amid a swarming plethora of pop-up windows. Fun. This is a guy I met at work. It's good to actually have a friend again. I've got someone to chill with.
Whoa! I just saw the IGNORE LIST. Sweet! Not...

It smells in here.
By "here" I mean my computer room, not SuicideGirls.com.

"Fair, just and democratic"...
I think holding territories is one of the lesser of the US's violations of that set of principles (although I certainly agree with you that it is a clear violation of them). Invasions, elections, economic warfare... the US government just doesn't seem to get it. Move to Canada... that's my advice. Or Norway... it's nice there too.

It'll set, sooner or later. The only question is what will be left standing when it does.

I FINALLY ordered VII. I can't wait. I've just been too busy lately then I forgot about it. But I did get a chance to read Gideon's Trumpet (which I was supposed to read for class four eyars ago and never did) and Deliverance which is really good, I recommend it.
I can't imagine how King is going to finish that series. VII is either going to be a religious literary experience or intensely disappointing.
A friend of yours posted in my previous journal and said that you were saying nice things about me on SG. Very sweet.
