In what kind of work are you interested? I got the impression you might want to teach or something? It's been a few years since I worked in the non-profit art education world (and even then kind of tangentially), but I'd be happy to pass any info along if I hear about something.

Ever since their first album has come out they sold millions of records. They play benefit concerts and fight for fair trade and promote it in any way possible.
The bands sound is quite unique considering the singer could cover quite a high range of vocal tones. The music is very piano, acoustic, ambient rock.
They also streamed their album on the web a week before their release and did a live show with most of the songs off the new album on The Leak. Check it out if your in for some calming ballad driven piano rock.
