i believe firmly that one should not speak in detail, and speak very little in passing, about prospective opportunities that are still in the works. for example, if you've applied for a job, and feel that the interview went very well, but have not heard back from your prospective employers, you should speak as little as possible about the job until you hear that you've gotten it. you can mention it, if you must, but it's better to avoid the subject alltogether. it's kind of like when you make a wish, you can't tell anyone what you wished for, or it won't come true.

that said, we met with the realtor yesterday. we found a house we liked. a lot. that is all i'll say about it.

um... i need to go get some more coffee, smoke another cigarette, and watch some football. then i need to focus on getting some carving done so i don't look like the laziest grad student ever, which i'm afraid i already do.
