i am officially broke.
it's good that i work tomorrow.

did a ridiculous lone pub crawl this morning. small girl trucking through the back streets of uptown at 4 a.m. not wise. but mace in hand, of course. didn't have to use it. although i don't know that i had anything to steal, and i am sure i looked it. poor transcends skin color or clothing. it just seeps through you. i don't know, maybe muggers stear clear of me because i'm so nice to panhandlers and bums. although now that i've said that, i'll get robbed tomorrow.
couldn't go to sleep. ened up drinking bloody mary's down on st. charles at 7 a.m. walked all the way there and all the way home. at least i got my exercise. i haven't consumed anything but liquor for the last 12 hours. not drunk, just cracked-out. it always happens when i start taking my meds again after a while of not taking them. the no sleep/jittery thing.
working tomorrow night, so i'd better pull a late one tonight. get the nocturnal half of the week in swing, see.

I also found that not showering for a few weeks and wearing the same clothes also kept the muggers away. At least that's how I got through living in a crack-friendly neighborhood in my younger years.

At least you have a reason to walk places. Losers like me who don't drink would just have the walking, and what's a pub crawl without the pubs?
