quick update, then it's football time.

i start the Starbucks gig tomorrow. i'm looking forward to it in that a) it will give me something to do and prevent me from fucking about on the internet all day, b) i'll soon have money for much needed things, and much wanted things, and c) it might give me the opportunity to meet some new people. on the subject of item "c", i only hope my fellow baristas are considerably less lame than i am. fingers crossed.

i had to go to the mall the other day because, as i mentioned in a previous entry, i am required to wear collared shirts for this job. looking through my closet, i found a few old work shirts (all stained, and none falling into the "black or white" category), a faded black button-up number i purchased at a thrift store for my BFA show, and something with pink and green duckies on it that melvina will most certainly remember from middle school. so, because i'm fairly sure that a five-day work week would require more than one suitable shirt, i set out to purchase more.

it is damned near impossible to find plain, black, button-up shirts. but i succeeded, only after spending much more time in the mall than i'd originally hoped. i also found this sweater, which was on sale, and makes me quite happy:

i like stripes.

so. off to watch the most wonderful game ever.
i'll update post-work tomorrow, with lurid details about the inner workings of the beast that is Starbucks.

cheers,
-Hyena.

I always bought mens shirts. They seemed to be roomier and came in more colors.

I hope you can come down! My friend and I were supposed to be going on a pirate walk. ARRR!!!

The dental visit was only $46. Even though he "didn't do anything," he diagnosed me and I'm just really glad it was that low.

If I've had cold/ flu- $0 more spent on my health. If I've actually got bronchitis again, or some other crap- who knows?

I don't have plain black/ white shirts anymore either. Lots of plaid, not plain, shirts.
