I just wrote quite a long reply that included commentary on the various photos you have posted, explained my journeys to your websites, discussed my usual policy on not accepting 'friends' unless they've at least commented in my journal and how I'm also not much for rules.... And then I accidentally deleted it all.

Ok, I am very fond of the second and fourth photos for very different reasons. The second one is sleepy seduction. The fourth portrays the very essence of womanhood in its perfection - until you look at her face. It would seem she is bound. The contrast is striking. I can project just about any emotion or state of mind onto that single image, save joy. You've captured so many moods in these six photos. Boredom, Anger, Aggression, Aloofness.... I could go on, but then I'd just accidentally delete it again.

Why do you take photos? What is your aim? What do you seek to portray?

Oh, I did tell you that I grew up in Bensalem.

Maybe that's why it all went *poof!* ;o)

Why do I take Photographs....

I Suppose it's for the same reason I do all of my artistic ventures: To create. Artists are nearest to God(in whatever form that God is) of all the many professions. Why do I say that? Because Artists, REAL Artists, seek to do many things with their work: Create, Inspire, Change, Destroy, Heal, Harm, etc. An Artist can make you feel something in way no one else can, because they are directly affecting it.

I don't suppose I have an Aim except to keep myself occupied and to enjoy what I do. I love to Paint, to draw, to write...to take pictures...and to change pictures. I am nothing if not an artist.

What Do I want to Portray...hmm...

Well that changes based on the piece in question. Everything I make or write or capture is usually inspired by a single event or song or emotion. SOMETHING causes me to do these things. Something far more complicated than I should ever hope to understand.

I'm not sure how else to say it....perhaps I shouldn't try.
