What is the use of living, if it be not to strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live in it after we are gone?

ughhhh i am the exact same way with reading. i HATE it, it makes me feel so stupid sometimes. i enjoy literature and there are so many things that i want to read and learn, but its such a grueling process that its almost not worth it. i can read a sentence and then suddenly realize that i havent taken in a single word in the past several pages. i almost never remember a book after ive read it. i just feel like such an ass when im asked about a favorite book or something, and im like 'ummmm... i cant really read.' good to know im not the only one, though
This sounds horrible and selfish but it also helped to know that it was no fun for him either. I think I had forgotten that he cared a whole ton about me, too.

No, you're totally right! It was VERY illegal for them to test me before offering a job. But since I am drug free and want the job I didn't say anything. Now if they didn't give me the job that would be a different story. But they did! My poppa said the same thing he's an HR manager. I think when the HR guy called he was a little scared I was going to say something, but really it doesn't matter.

Randolph Bourne
Our merely social intolerance kills no one, roots out no opinions, but induces men to disguise them, or to abstain from any active effort for their diffusion.
