So today has been unbelievably phenomenal.

I applied to be a research assistant at a systems neuroscience lab here at the U of O. Today I had my lab interview.
I got the position.

Not only did I get the position, but the Post Doc gathering data for a grant. is 7 months pregnant, so when she is on maternity leave I will be running the experiment myself.

Not only will I be running the experiment myself, the post doc is starting an experiment that is exactly what I want to study.

Not only is it exactly what I want to study, no one else in the lab wants to do it and I would have the opportunity to be published as an undergrad.

And if it could get better than being published as an undergrad, the post doc just received her doctorate last term. One lab that she has been in close contact with as a possible post doc stop is the EXACT lab at Duke that is #1 on my graduate research list.

Simply Amazing.

I am going to celebrate by making home made phillies and drinking imported beer from the beer stein.
