So Left 4 Dead 2 came today. Nerding it up big time.
It's the uncensored version mind you, I ordered mine from Asia, since the South Australian Attorney-General, Michael Atkinson, is a fuckwit, and has made Australia the biggest joke of the world gaming community. It irritates me to no end to be told, even though I am an adult, what I can and can't watch, play or do. Thankfully there are ways around this problem, but I digress.
For any interested gamers, L4D2 is awesome. Valve have pretty much done what Ubisoft did with Assassin's Creed 2, which is that they have taken into account the issues brought up by gamers and have improved them ten fold. Melee weapons are added to the mix, my favourites at the moment being the samurai sword and cricket bat. There is a larger variety of guns with various add on's (laser sight, explosive rounds). The levels seem to be more varied, but are sometimes confusing to navigate. Valve have added a few new infected, so instead of just the horde, tank, smoker, hunter, boomer and witch there is also the spitter, charger and jockey to contend with. The banter between the characters has also seemed to have been upped and some of it is pretty amusing to listen to.
There are also more game modes to choose from, but the one I'll be playing most is the co-op campaign (since my housemate Mav and I have already dominated L4D we're looking forward to doing the same again with L4D2). I'm also excited to try out some online play, I read a blog on here a while ago where the author was saying that there is bias online in regards to L4D when it comes to new players as everyone knows the maps back to front and thus makes it very difficult for new people to have a fair go.
Keep in mind that this blog is a first impression type dealy, I've only logged about an hour or so and completed the first co-op campaign, so don't go giving me shit if I've left anything out.
Oh and finally I'm looking forward to killing one of those zombie clowns that I've seen on the back of the case. Maybe I can somewhat recreate the amusement park scene from Zombieland.

I think you should learn the maps on offline co-op and then take people by storm.
