humility

Well, the time has come. It seems like just yesterday I was blogging about getting yelled at for using my mom's tax info on my FAFSA without asking. Back then, I wasn't even entirely sure about starting college this year. If I recall, that was in February. Damn, half a year went by so fast.

Tomorrow is my first day of classes. I have Speech and English starting at 3:30 and ending at 9:30. I like the idea of being able to sleep in so late. Wednesday starts and ends the same time, but I have Spanish instead of English. Fridays are my early days. I start at 8 am and get done at 1:45. I'll be taking Sociology and Government. I like it this way. I get enough time to rest, and I'll be pretty flexible when I get a job. I decided after the semester ends, I'm going to apply to the University of Illinois to transfer as a sophomore. It carries a big risk of not getting in, seeing as it's not a lot of time to prove my worth, and also because junior transfers get preference. But if I don't try, I don't have a shot at all. If I don't get in for next year, I definitely intend to try again for my junior year. No more excuses. I guess I'm finally starting to transition into adulthood.
