lithographed a couple hundred thousand nanorings onto a silicon wafer for the eventual (hopefully!) fabrication of my light emitting diode (LED). Worked on homework and wondered---really wondered---what it would be like to be a cow; with a whole lot of grazing on my mind.

It's like you're speaking Urdu: not understanding a word.
To be a cow: it would be lougy I think, static/immobile, itchy (bug bites!), with a distinctive grass like flavor always in your mouth. I'd hope that at least I'd live in the south, so I could be warm before nice middle class families ate me.
