i have a dilemma...
they say money is the root of all evil.
others say no, the love of money is the root of all evil.
both valid contentions.
but if you ask me, the lack of money is the root of all evil. yes, that's it. don't worry all, i've figured it out.
anyway, the point is i am going to have one tricky July. as soon as i get paid, i get totally ass-raped from all directions (despite the logistics) by rent, debts and sundries, and will struggle to afford food for the month, let alone recreational medication and media.
there are a number of books poised on my wishlist, and i have to get at least one of them to see me through the sober, hungry nights ahead. they are:
Slapstick (or Lonesome No More)
by Kurt Vonnegut

Italian Folk Tales

and finally
Story Of The Eye

My favourite, by far, is Cat's Cradle. I almost want to re-read it, 'cause I read it so long ago.
The "specific" moment was the one I was referring to, but both will do.
