last night i watched a beautiful film and i cried and it was a most welcome catharsis.

(if you've not seen Paris, Texas and you're the kind of person who doesn't like any kind of spoiler, you probably shouldn't watch the clip.)

bad fucking mood today. don't get me started. money may indeed be the root of all good, as Ayn Rand clarified, but it's still a sonofabitch.

recent sets from Evette and Roane are some solace. and my UPC kin are a fine bunch. (<-- my idea of a "shout out"?)

That's Kali and Shiva.

Aye, Lulu - I'm hopefully going to publish a book of those drawings on there, as well as my novella thing, and maybe sundry other chapbooks.

Would be good for you to get lots of opinions, I guess, not just mine and Billy's - we're biased wink

Cool. Well, I'll let you know closer to the date, but I do have a friend in the T-dot who is telling me I'm welcome anytime I want to visit...

We met in the morning, and
the child kept us up at night.
We met in the morning, and
something extraordinary happened:
the afternoon saw me hypnotised
by wind chimes hanging from the
ceiling of a two-bedroom flat, and
the child kept us at night.
Tina, six years old. She laughed
when I barked at the television,
and saw somehow through my
railings, through the...

ha, i just wrote a big paragraph complaining about a load of stuff, then admitting that the Dirty Three's curating of next year's ATP festival really makes up for it, and i finished with a YouTube vid of the band themselves being excellent on Aussie TV like 10 years ago, but then i deleted it all by accident. anyway, here's the vid:

Your neighbourhood's worse than mine by a long chalk, it sounds like. Mine's quite quiet, really, it just has a rogue element.

So Grace actually got hit on the head?!!

The painting has been the pain in my neck for the past week. I will probably finish it up tomorrow, though. Though it's not as good as it should have been, because I stumbled at one point and made a boo-boo frown biggrin Hopefully the weather will be good enough for me to photograph it tomorrow as well.

I got to that 'Ys' link you sent me too late and it was unavailable, so, no, I haven't heard it yet. Sooner or later.

Great Tom interview - thanks! Tom's only a few years younger than my dad. Really puts the masculine side of my parentage into perspective.

Be cool flighty fish.

Oh, and thanks for the support over the mouse thing - it helped!

Dream, morning of Friday 13 October, 2006:

from out of nowhere

at the crest of a bank

a youthful party appears

and there at the back

smouldering

Cheris

eyes pitch-black

I've seen that face before

in my past futilities

you are the culmination

composite of velleities

Cheris

before you go

take this square of paper

sign your name

aloof and daliesque

and intimate your will...

I found the Cat vid - it's great! As are the others I found.

Perfidious is a good un, I agree, but I prefer the noun for some reason - perfidy.

I've barely painted a thing in the last few months but I'm working on one now that may be finished in the next few days. Provisionally titled 'Larynx and Lugs (AUM)'. If I get it done I'll photograph it for bouville. Otherwise I can't think of anything other than more drawings. Would that be fine?

Are you ever going to post any polaroids on that other page of yours?!
y:
I'd go fer 'Anne Mary Jesus, Fish' and 'The Jar o Hinny'.

Look out for my next journal.

Last night
I dreamed I was dreaming of you
and from a window across the lawn
I watched you undress
wearing your sunset of purple tightly woven
around your hair
that rose in strangled ebony curls
moving in a yellow bedroom light

The air is wet with sound; the faraway yelping
of a wounded dog
and the ground is drinking a slow faucet leak

Your...

Aye, Christophorus. I've gone all dignified and shit wink As to Georgia - check my previous entry (which was only up briefly).

Shit, I'd better do some work for you then, eh? biggrin Didn't really have anything planned. Incidentally, look out for an upcoming journal of mine which will link to something that has minor bearing on Bouville wink Consider yourself tantalised.

I read the Bukowski poem. Nice. Tom's 'Invitation to the Blues' is very similar.

yeah it sounded familiar to me.. my roomate is way into tom waits.

i'll probably be in sydney for most of my stay in australia, but i'll be checking out the other bits, and i plan on taking a weeklong trip to new zealand and going sky diving there. after that, i'm stopping in taiwan to visit a cousin of mine, then japan, then sanfransisco hehe

May I show you how I think it 'should' be spaced? How I think the lines should be divided? Privately, of course.

Thanking you.

The painting is 'Sower', by van Gogh. The photo is of farmers in one of my favourite places (to look at pics of; I've never been, sadly) - Svaneti, Georgia (the country, not the American state). I nicked the pic from this page. It wouldn't surprise me if they were brothers. I want their beards.

(All the pics I post are in my pics folders, with detailed captions, by the by and for future ref.. I only say this cause I'm having to explain the 'brothers' photo to three different people frown ).

Peace.

I think you have to take note of recommendations like that. I will be buying it and let you know what I think.

The website is great. dedicated fan smile

Hasn`t got too cold here yet, but the weather is annoying, rainy but hot. I wish it would make up its mind.

Officially now the equinox has happened and we are desending into shorter daylight hours. It will be freezing before you know it.

I sorta like winter smile

Keep well smile

Ps. what are your top two then? Or top 5smile

They just come out. I access a "place", a feeling... it's invisible, ya know? Like a soul, then I have to build a skeleton, a body. I don't plan it, I just wait for it. And when it comes, I have to do it. I can access that place at will, for the most part, then I write.

Several of my longish chapbooks that are in storage I wrote in an aftrenoon. I write anywhere, I don't stop myself. I've gotten in trouble at so many jobs 'cause I carry a notebook, and if it hits, I stop what I'm doing and I write.

I'm not cut out for that world, that's for sure.

I admire your process, the editing and the one a week. It shows in the quality of your work. Good stuff!!

You know, I've lived here for 20 years, and I've never been to Athens! 50 miles away... just never been.

I've heard of Harvey Milk, but never heard them/him(?)

Do you recommend????

Always looking for new sounds, dat's troo.....

I was really waiting for someone to ask my how I knew her breasts cost six thousand dollars...

it was because she told me. It was the first thing she told me.

That's why fucking her isn't really that important to me.

I like me women to have something more going for them than the cost of their breasts.

How goes you?

a poem by my mother:

how the sun drops splashing its
blood
we used to think it sank into the earth or slowly plunged
into the sea
every day new gold reappearing from
canyons and lakes and over mountain tops

every day rising opening the buds
and then deserting them
to fearful cold and dark
we used to be afraid the last flipped coin was...
