I was strumming an eerie chord
when rain began to fall

In that moment
a life of not only believing in
the supernatural
but believing also that a person
of all things
should be its trigger
seemed a thrilling life indeed

And then, like rain, the hysteria
passed

...just thought i'd open this entry by laying my cards on the ideological table, so to...

Most of my time is divided
between two rooms
one for work and the other for sleep

The first could be a TV show called
Land Of The Right-Angles
while the other has the makings of
an art installation entitled
Man With Stupid Dream

I cant say how the two might fare
in the global media shitstorm
but I do know that neither project
has...

Glad that I could be of some service to you, good man. Thanks for the nice compliment. I also count pen and paper as one item. Good job.

The walls were closing in, and the hardware complicit, so I got up out of my chair and left by the fire door.

Outside there was some kind of sunlight, which only complicated things, because it seemed to me my surroundings expected a fit of exaltation, but I didnt know what to say, and we were all embarrassed, so I started walking.

A proud footpath...

Spent afternoons

in the smoking room

The things that I said then

still make me burn with shame

The world is frozen now

It glitters, sparkles

and shines

I could tell by
the way he greeted me
and the bite of his conversation
that he took me to be
one of them
another fucking scavenger
half-man, right on time
with shoulder and smile
and an eye to lie down in
the settling dust, if she would
only ask it

But no, he was wrong
so wrong I have to laugh

I used...

i dunno. the humor is way too british for me to appreciate.
fenchurch:
Haha, those are funny, but I'm too broke to do trades right now, sadly frown Although I will cut you a very good price break if you can send me one or two cans of soda that is exclusive to the UK. smile

That is a wonderful reason to write a letter, and I think you should have included the too stoned factor. Frozen meal companies need to be aware if their product is problematic to their key demographic.

Love, maybe- or some cute fuzzy happy thing that makes me all swoony and stupid to talk to.

Wait, maybe those are the same things.

I dunno. It's all really, really good right now.

I was pretty convinced there was already a nick cave group. I met him recently, good guy... very charming.

I would be happy to give you some feedback on your work, just drop me a line next time i am online.

Closer was really brilliant, i was suprised... def see it... (the reason i really loved it could be because of it's relevance to me, now you have to see it to know what i am on about).

thanks for joining my group. I am going to try and getting it moving a bit more...

there is something i must confide.

i just reached into the top drawer of my desk to pull a rubber band from the tangled mess that spoils it for the rest of the stationery

and the first one i picked out was the same one i had nonchalantly scissored in half hours ago.

if you could see the state of my top drawer, you would...

I do have romance, it's true- but it's tentaive, uncertain romance that isn't even sure if it wants to be romance yet. It's something different; something sweet and tender and kind, with no strings attached.

I'm thinking maybe it's better this way, without fucked up obligations and expectations. I'm thinking it's all going to be okay. I'm thinking I like it, a lot.

(I'm also thinking that I wish I could use my own computer, and not my roommate's. Gosh.)

the reformed Pink Floyd @ Live 8 London was absolutely one of the most magical things i've ever seen...

When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
out of the corner of my eye

I turned to look, but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
the child is grown, the dream is gone

And I have become
comfortably...

ah, pink floyd, how magical was it?
uncommoncold:
I think it would be more hilarious if my life defined your sense of humour, rather than defied it.

I enjoyed reading Nausea at the time, which was a few years ago. It's hard to say what I'd think of it now. The only part that really sticks out is the scene with the tree.. I'd need to flip through it again in order to give you a better opinion of it, but I don't own it.

You found it entirely life-changing, though? In what way? I recall it reflecting the way I was viewing the world at the time.

And finally, yes, I really was a farmhand. On a vegetable farm, though. Does that give me more or less points? Hahah.

Hope you're well. I totally wish that I was in Egypt.
