I just witnessed a truly bizarre event.

I was sitting on the floor playing with my two cats. Ludo was sitting on my lap, then walking around, then sitting back down. I smelled something kind of gross and assumed he had farted. Suddenly, both cats seemed to freak out and started sniffing around on the floor and frantically licking at it. I looked down at where Ludo had been sitting and realized the smell was coming from a small, slimy, brown spot on my jeans. There were similar tiny spots on the floor in a few places. The cats were apparently cleaning up the shit that had leaked out of Ludo's butt! I wasn't sure until Bowie sniffed up to the spot on my jeans and licked that clean away. They cleaned up the whole mess.

I'm not really sure what to say about this. Never let it be said that cats don't clean up their own shit? No weird. No gross.

Not at all surprisingly, my cats are now furiously stuffing their faces with food. I'll bet their poop doesn't taste any better than it smells.

I'm mopping my floor first thing tomorrow morning.
