I took the kids to the skating rink last night. I haven't been there in years, and it was a very strange experience. The place was the same yet so different. Everything looked exactly like it had when I was in third grade, but the music certainly has changed. They basically only played hip hop last night. When I frequented the place, "Cocomo" by the Beach Boys was a popular tune there. I also noticed quite a few nine year old carrying cell phones and shaking their asses in entirely too provactive a manner. I was thinking about the change in atmosphere when it occured to me that I was there in the 80s! I suddenly felt very old. It's strange how this job keeps doing this to me.

I think I may have found an apartment! It's in Wilmington proper, a block from Trolley Square. For those of you who don't live here, that's the really good area of town. The rent is a freaking steal. I decided to drive by today to just check out the outside and make sure it didn't look like a dump and discovered that I know the guy who lives there now. He let me in to see it and answered all the questions I had. I haven't decided on it for sure, but I am strongly leaning towards this. I have to make up my mind quickly so someone else doesn't grab it. I am so excited!

The Delaware group has yet to be approved. I submitted a request for it on Tuesday. I know they have a lot of stuff to do so I am trying to be patient, but I just want this to be done. Poo. Ok, I am done complaining. I'm going to be happy.

I have to go drive my brother to Allentown. He's waiting for me.

Update:
The 3 hour round-trip Allentown drive ended up taking almost 5. We got very, very, very lost. It sucked ass! I am so tired now. Chrisalis rocks for coming with me and keeping me awake on the drive home. I don't think I would have made it alone.
