I have returned from Yankeedom!!!!
I got back home at 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. I managed an hour of sleep before I was off to where I teach my 8:00 a.m. class! I returned the loaned vehicle and got back to Conway in time for my second to last class in my MA degree.
I promptly went home and became one with the land of Morpheus (no, i am not talking about any cats!!!!)
The convention was great, the location, much less so!!! What with the bullet holes in the lobby windows, various vermin found in attendees rooms, illicit items being sold in the parking lot, and the prostitution ring that was raided Friday night, I would not advise on going back there.
I am awaiting some pics, so I can post those for y'all to look at.
One quick story:
Leaving Chicago, we are on I55 South. I see a guy on a motorcycle and I am thinking "Man, isn't it a bit too warm to be wearing a fur coat?" We get a little closer and (get ready for it!) realize it was NOT, I repeat NOT, a fur coat: it was his back hair!!!
UGH!

Hey, whatever works for ya!

i still get overwhelmed by the friendships i've made here. i will cautiously vent 'cause that is what i need to do to get through my days. i will keep my anger in check and i will lick my wounds in silence. it is easier to protect myself here by placing my thoughts upon my journal, the crossover gets too complicated.
