Well, having just finished reading Geekology, I have to say that it's quite an experience to see the range of SGs who qualify. Some have been part of SG for 10+ years, while others have only recently joined the community. All are really passionate and obsessed, and I just love how they have embraced geekdom, and celebrate it. I can relate to that, and that's one of the things that first drew me to SG nearly a decade ago (once upon a time I was known as just "Howdy", now a zombie profile due to technical issues). SG is a wondrous place, where people are whatever and whoever they want to be, and always were.
Of course, one particularly nice thing about my copy of Geekology is that it was signed by the Blackheart Burlesque cast in Ft. Lauderdale FL. What a great show - and a fun time meeting the lovely and immensely talented ladies - and hanging out with my all-time favorite @waikiki who I haven't seen in like 3 years. She is so sweet and I love her to infinity.
I wish all the burlesquians (is that even a word?) a great time on the rest of the tour. And I must thank them all for treating me so well, despite my lack of ink, piercings or much in the way of boobs ;-)
People in the lucky cities - get out there and see the show!!!!
