Geez I can't even stay away from here for a month now! 
This is just a quick update to the effect that:
I'm doing fine and have thrown myself passionately back into the job market.
And I read a wonderful book that I felt like sharing with you - my SG friends!
Wild Harmonies: A Life of Music and Wolves, by Hlne Grimaud
She is a famous classical pianist and owner of a wolf sanctuary in New York State. I adore her music and attend her concerts at every opportunity, but only by reading the program notes did I discover that she's also an author and wolf-lover as well. Her book is generally autobiographical, about her life from "impossible" child who had bouts of self-mutilation to Paris Conservatory dropout to famed and still maverick musician.
I think I may be in love.
