One day, about ten years from now, you'll find in a forgotten pocket of your rucksack a three-ply facemask. "Wow, what a weird year THAT was" you'll chuckle with a wave of nostalgia. Then you'll resume trudging across the scorched and barren landscape, foraging for old tinned goods and avoiding the roaming gangs of cannibals.

Might be a good time to take up welding and blacksmithing. Making weapons and gates out of nothing is a great trade if sci-fi has taught me anything.
