It looks like you’re a true horror aficionado, so I expect you’ll really enjoy it. This film doesn’t pull a single punch. One of the things that Richard Stanley said after the premiere of his film was, “The Mythos can’t be cuddly.” He was referencing the tendency to downplay the sense of cosmic horror in Lovecraft’s work when it is adapted to film and other media.
