hi folks!
i appreciate all the support with my situation with my son recently. . but here's another kicker. . his school called me up today and said that they want to send him to washington d.c. as a "future statesman" represenative.
(we live in california)
(of course we have to pay for the trip)
one of the reasons i'm so bummed about his grades this semester is because the kid's been a bad-ass in school for ever. . student of the year. . three straight year's of honor roll . .
presidential award. . (ok i'm bragging)and then all of a sudden . .an 'f'
his mom took him to mexico for a week during school this semester so he missed a week, but that's still no excuse. . he's perdy good on the piano and now that he's in trouble, i'm making him learn every x-mas song known to man as a punishment.
he just got an electric guitar and already knows about half the songs i do in twenty years of tinkering around.
by the time he's 15 (he's 12) . .he's gonna fuckin' shred. .
i just bought him a david bowie piano/guitar songbook for x-mas. .
so even though i'm still mad at him, he's the coolest mother-fucker i know.
and i'm feeling much better about things today. . but i'm not gonna let him know that!
