HORNITOS= a brand of reposado (rested) tequila, meaning it has been aged for over a month in oak barrells which gives it, it's natural coloring, unlike cuervo gold, which is aged in a bottle and gets it's color from carmel (caramel?) food coloring. . just in case anybody was wonderin'. .
there's also anejo tequila which has been aged for a year , sometimes in whiskey barrels.

anyways. . this weekend i was watching a hockey game with the kid, when he disappeared for about a half an hour. then the phone rang and it was for him. so i'm all. . "little dude! phones for you, it's some girl"
and then comes into the room , but before i give him the phone i say " what were you doing?"
and he says "nothing"
which he should know by now, is absolutely the wrong thing to say to me.
so, i say "nothing?"
and he says. ."you know what i was doing"
and i say " no i don't"
and then he whispers, so the girl on the phone can't hear: "i was playing with my action figures"
so i giggle, hand him the phone and say "you've got 15 minutes"
and then teased him the rest of the night about it!
it's great to be a dad!

a friend of mines band is opening for the smut peddlers tomorrow night. . i thought i'd check it out.
