i appreciate all the comments on my last journal
entry, (well almost all) and all of you can expect a visit to your journals soon. as for the asian/american kids comment, i was obviously generalizing and trying to be funny, but to quote dennis hopper's character in true romance as he realizes he's gonna be killed no matter what. .
"so tell me, am I lying? "
that's one of my my favorite lines ever. the truth really hurt, for him.
i went to see matchstick men w/ my son today . it was kinda disappointing, (although i looooooove alison lohman!) and i figured out what was going to happen early in the film, and then had to explain to my son , what a 'hustle' was. (if you haven't seen the movie and plan to, don't read this part) because i whipspered to him. . " he's getting hustled"
and then after the movie as we were talking about the movie, my son confided to me , that he didn't know what was gonna happen ,because he didn't know what i meant by 'hustle'. that me made me really stoked on him!
my son doesn't think he's a pimp! like most moronic teenagers and he's not trying to get over on anybody. but then that opened up a whole can of worms about rap lyrics and hustling. and drug dealing and what not. . it was perdy interesting . . although i felt bad telling him these things, and spoiling his innocence.
what's a dad to do?
oh well, he's sleeping safe tonight and i'm watching over him. . he rules!. i couldn't be prouder of him.
tomorrow i'll drop him off at school and like always , tell him to listen good and try super hard because you know "there's a million little asian kids out there kickin' ass!"
hahaha
