i'm re-printing my wednesday poem here because i feel it has significant social value and could make the differnece between life and death for those that have maybe lost a cat or 2.

'ROADKILL'
I don't blame god
I blame myself
with too slow a brain
for anything else
no season of reason
no tit nor tat
just twitching reflex.
like run-over cat
other than that i won't be posting this weekend because the bug is coming! hooray!

your roadkill poem made me giggle, but brought back all the memories of my cats getting hit by cars.
once a car hit my cat but didnt kill it, and i opened the door, and he was bleeding and trying to meow but the wreck had mangled his face. i screamed and slammed the door (i was about 9) and we took him to the vet and the vet fixed him up
although he looked weird for the rest of his life.
